Syndicates and how do they work?

Owning an event horse is fun, exciting and rewarding – but need not be prohibitively expensive.  Taking the lead from racing, more and more event horses are owned by syndicates.  Smart Approach, my successful advanced horse is currently jointly owned between 3 people, Linnet Old, Roxane Marmion and Jolyon Hobby,  all of whom have shared in the highs and lows, the picnics, the wine and the prize money!

Events are held in some of the most beautiful places in England, and on the continent too.  Supporting your horse at an event whatever the level makes for a great day out, but imagine the thrill of seeing your horse mature from a baby at it’s first Pre-Novice to being an owner at Badminton or Burghley.  We like our owners to be as involved as they want to be, if you would like to be ‘hands on’ helping with the horse at events that’s great, but equally we are very happy to provide coffee, food , wine and comfortable chairs for you to watch from the sidelines!  One thing we do encourage though is as much involvement as possible so that all owners get the most enjoyment from their horse.

Joining a syndicate gives the opportunity for a lot of fun for a very small outlay.  Why not join together with friends or meet some new ones and get ready for some great days out and nail biting finishes!
